Some Flowers Only Bloom in the Imagination

Pretty in Pain

Posted By on August 3, 2011

So pretty in pain,
and in life not vain.
We are the tortured,
tormented by our own
torrid love affairs
brief and explosive,
strewn with discarded cares.
We achieve our inspiration
through such tempests
as to make men weep with
longing to love
so lingeringly.
We chart our course
through love’s choppy sea,
that poets may sing,
and the blind may see.
No love,
found or lost,
can be in vain,
when there exists we,
the pretty in pain.
